The Harpy Nest — harpynest.com
The Honest Version
Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. That means if you click on one and buy something, I may earn a small commission. It doesn’t cost you a penny more — the price is exactly the same whether you use my link or find it on your own.
That’s how this site keeps the lights on. I don’t run ads. I don’t do sponsored posts. I don’t accept free products in exchange for positive reviews. Affiliate commissions are how The Harpy Nest sustains itself, and I think that’s a pretty clean arrangement — I recommend things I actually use, and if you agree and buy one, I get a small thank-you from the retailer.
What This Means In Practice
- I only recommend products I have personally purchased and used.
- If something is mediocre, I say so — even if there’s a commission attached.
- If something is great but doesn’t have an affiliate program, I recommend it anyway.
- My opinion is never for sale. If it were, it wouldn’t be worth anything.
Amazon Associates
The Harpy Nest is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
In plain terms: some links here go to Amazon, and if you buy through them, I earn a small percentage of the sale.
How to Spot an Affiliate Link
Any post that contains affiliate links will include a disclosure at the top or near the relevant links. I don’t hide them. You’ll always know when a link is an affiliate link.
Why I’m Telling You All This
Because the FTC requires it — and because I’d want to know if I were you. Transparency isn’t just a legal obligation; it’s how trust works.
If you ever have questions about whether a recommendation is genuine, the answer is always yes. But you’re welcome to ask anyway.
